CHROMAGEAR BASEBALL SIZE CHART

All sizes in chart are garment measurements unless otherwise indicated

Sizing shown is the front width only/half of the total garment circumference.

TWO WAYS TO MEASURE:

1. To get your jersey size, measure the FRONT ONLY on an existing garment and compare it to the chart below.

2. Measure the total width around the chest and then divide in half. Ex: If your total chest measurement is 42″ and you divide in half, then your front measurement would be 21″, which is closest to a YL (21″) in the chart below.

Age Groups

All players who reside in the Papillion LaVista School District are eligible to play in PBA. Players outside the district are allowed to play on a first come basis, but can only make up 40% of any PBA team.

Placing your player in the proper age/division is important for their development of baseball skills and confidence in playing the game. You do not want them to be overwhelmed by playing above their level and you do not want them to be bored by playing under their level. Consider the following options before registering your player.

Age Groups

In order to clarify age ranges and participation prior to the registration process, we encourage all applicants to review the age ranges below.

Each age group is determined by the age of the player as of May 1st, 2023.

  • Non-competitive
  • Tee assisted hitting
  • For new and developing players

6-8U Machine Pitch/Kid Pitch 8U:

  • Medium competition
  • Mechanical assisted pitching
  • For developing players
  • Preparation for player pitch

9-14 Player Pitch:

  • Team formation by skill level assessment and draft
    • All players will be placed on a team

15/16 MABL Division & 15/16 MABL Division

Teams are formed via tryouts and play in the Metro Area Baseball League (MABL). Tryouts are held after high school tryouts. We do our best to place the boys, but we have limitations as it pertains to the number of teams we can field and the number of players placed on each team.

4-5 T-Ball

The 4-5 Year old age group is designed for the beginner player. Players hit the ball off a batting tee at this age level.

Teams are formed using schools and neighborhoods as a guide.  Specific teammate requests will also be considered.

Games and practices are one hour in length.

6-8 Machine Pitch

The 6-7 Year Old age group teams is focused on the development of hitting and fielding in preparation for player pitch. Coaches, using a consistent strike throwing pitching machine, all but eliminates any fears of being hit by a pitch and will provide the opportunity for more hit balls, which helps develop fielding as well. This action packed league builds confidence in the young player.

Teams are formed using schools and neighborhoods as a guide.  Specific teammate requests will also be considered.

Games are 1 hour 30 minutes in length and are played Monday - Saturday.

The 8 yr old division does have an end of the season in house tournament.
