Jersey Sizes

For Spring 2026, we will be using Champro once again for our jerseys (for those who have been in our league for a few years, these are the same as the ones we had used in 2022 and 2023). They are custom sublimated jerseys. You can find the size chart on the website below, though we do recommend ordering a size up if your player is in the middle or top of the waist size range given:

Age Groups

All players who reside in the city of Papillion or within the Papillion LaVista School District are eligible to play in PBA. Players outside the district are welcome to play, but can only make up 40% or less of the PBA league

Placing your player in the proper age/division is important for their development of baseball skills and confidence in playing the game. You do not want them to be overwhelmed by playing above their level, and you also do not want them to be bored by playing under their level. The vast majority of players will do best by playing with the age group they are assigned to based on their birth date. For safety reasons, we do not allow players to play in a lower age group. Parents have the option to request for their player to play up one age group if they believe that they have proper skills and maturity. Below you will find descriptions of our different age groups.

Age Groups

In order to clarify age ranges and participation prior to the registration process, we encourage all applicants to review the age ranges below.

Each age group is determined by the age of the player as of April 30th.

4/5 T-Ball:

  • Basic baseball fundamentals and knowledge
  • Non-competitive; score will not be taken
  • Hitting will be off of a tee
  • Runners can get "out" but all players on a team will bat even if there are 3 outs

6-7U Machine Pitch/Kid Pitch 8U:

  • Intermediate baseball knowledge
  • Medium competition
  • 6-7U players will hit off of a machine
  • 8U is player pitch, with the machine as a backup if the pitcher throws 4 balls (no walks allowed)

9-14 Player Pitch:

  • Intermediate to advanced baseball knowledge
  • Full competition
  • Player pitch
  • Team formation by skill level assessment and draft
    • Players of ALL skill levels are welcome. ALL players will be placed on a team; the draft is intended to prevent any one team becoming "stacked" with all of the most experienced players

15/16 MABL Division & 17/18 MABL Division

Teams are formed via tryouts and play in the Metro Area Baseball League (MABL). Tryouts are held after high school tryouts. We do our best to place the boys, but we have limitations as it pertains to the number of teams we can field and the number of players placed on each team. Note: sometimes the age divisions will be combined into one (15-18)

4-5 T-Ball

The 4-5 Year old age group is designed for the beginner player. Players hit the ball off a batting tee at this age level.

Teams are formed using schools and neighborhoods as a guide.  Specific teammate requests will also be considered.

Games and practices are one hour in length.

6-7 Machine Pitch

The 6-7 year old age group is focused on the development of hitting and fielding in preparation for player pitch. A Louisville Slugger Blue Flame machine is used, which consistently pitches in the strike zone to reduce fears of being hit by a pitch and give the opportunity for more hit balls.

Teams are formed using schools and neighborhoods as a guide.  Specific teammate/coach requests will also be considered.

Games are 1 hour 15 minutes in length and are played Monday - Saturday

9/10 Division

The 9/10 year old division is player-pitch.

Teams are formed using a skill assessment process of the 5 basic elements, Fielding, Throwing, Hitting, Pitching and Catching.

Teammate & coach requests will not be honored.  Players are organized by their assessment levels and then placed on teams evenly using an open draft with parity being the goal.  All players are required to attend the assessment - no show assessment day, means the player is not draft eligible and will be blindly drawn for a team.

All registered players will be notified of assessments via email.  Please be checking your junk/spam folder for newsletters from PRO or PBA.  Information is also posted on this website and our PBA Facebook page.

Games are 1 hour and 40 minutes in length.

Players in this division are eligible to participate in the Home Run Derby (cost to participate) and the All Star Game (voted on by coaches & their teammates).

There is an in-house tournament at the end of the season (Spring season only).

11/12 Division
