We believe that our greatest contribution is in teaching young Ladies the values of competition, to make a commitment, to work hard, to strive for excellence, to sacrifice to make their team better, and to be the best you can be as a person and as an athlete. We believe that our job is to develop the total person, and not just the athlete. We are dedicated to the quality fundamentals and the development of our youth softball athletes. Our players learn to respect the game of softball and all who are involved in it. We believe in sportsmanship striving to always win but win with honor and more importantly when we lose we lose with dignity.

History of the Papillion Softball League:

The Papillion Softball League started in 1979 and was founded by Bruce McCoy, with four elementary schools in central Omaha and covered the 3-4 & 5-6 grades. Additional schools were added year by year. In 1983 the league expanded to include 7-8 grade teams. It now had eight elementary schools and three junior high schools that fielded teams. In 1988, it expanded to include grades 9-12.

At its peak, there were 45 teams in the league, divided across the four divisions. During the first five years, special rules were adopted to include all players batting in one rotating lineup and other rules that enabled girls to get more enjoyment out of playing.

In 2007/2008, the Papillion Softball League worked with the youth softball commissioner for the Omaha area and an agreement was reached to Include Bellevue teams, Papillion teams and Springfield teams. In subsequent years, LaVista, Gretna, Fort Calhoun and Boys Town have had teams in the Papillion Softball League

In 2017, there were teams from the Saints League which include teams from Saint Thomas Moore Bengals, Saint Bernadette, Saint Columbkille, Saint Peter & Paul and Lady Our Lourdes.

In addition to the Saints League teams, there are also teams from Papillion, LaVista, Westgate Westside Association, Napoli and Boystown.

In 2019, the League changed names from the Rainbow League to the Papillion Softball League.
