Before registering your child for the 5th through 8th grade leagues please be aware that the game schedules for those grades levels will be different than previous years (3rd & 4th grade will play games at their usual times and location and ARE NOT affected) . We are used to playing 5th through 8th grade games on Saturday afternoon at Papillion Jr High. However, due to the construction at both Papillion Jr High and La Vista Jr High adjustments to our games schedules must be made.
This season we can only guarantee that our games for 5th through 8th grade will be played on Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons. This also means that our basketball program may not be able to accommodate a large number of registrations as in the past. We may have to restrict registrations to fill a minimum number of teams per division. Registrations will be accepted on a first come first serve basis until our limit for each league is met. Any registration received after that will be placed on a wait list until we know if we are able to secure more time slots for games. If we cannot, you will be notified and your money will be refunded.
Assessments will be held in November. Teams will be formed shortly after and practices are scheduled to start the week of November 30th. The first games of the season for 5th through 8th grade will be played January 8th and 10th. The 3rd and 4th grade season will start January 9th.
Thank you for your understanding in regards to this situation as it is out of our control and we are doing our best to provide a basketball program for our youth under the restrictions that have been placed before us this season.
We are always looking for volunteers to help us this season. If you can help out in any way please email the Basketball Director at email@example.com.
Again, we thank you for your understanding and look forward to having a great season!

With the 2012 passing of the school bond issue by the Papillion La Vista Community School District, 2 of our main locations, Papillion Junior High and La Vista Junior High, which we have used for practices & games, are currently under construction. Since school has begun, the construction will take place on the weekends, thus eliminating any access to the schools on the weekends. From what we have been told by these schools, the weekend access will be in effect for the entire 2015-2016 school year.
As many of you already know, we rely heavily on Papillion Junior High to hold our games for the indoor sports of Volleyball & Basketball on the Saturdays. The Volleyball program has secured another facility for the upcoming season. Practices and all games will be held at Performance volleyball Club at 8619 S. 137th Circle, Suite 2, Omaha, NE 68138. We anticipate this to be only for the upcoming season/school year. However, with any construction, plans can change, schedules can be altered and so on. If you have any questions about Volleyball, please contact our Volleyball Director, Catie Schram, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
As for basketball season, we are working feverishly to plan the upcoming season. Registration for basketball season will begin in mid to late September. Due to the construction at both Junior High schools, we will be utilizing multiple facilities and days to complete the season. This season will more than likely include the playing of games on Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons for grades 5-8. Grades 3 & 4 will continue to play on Saturdays. Unfortunately, we may have to limit the amount of players for some levels, depending on what we can secure for available facilities.
We do plan on starting the Basketball season as normal in January of 2016, with the end of season tournament beginning in early March of 2016. If you have any questions about Basketball, please contact our Basketball Director, Dale Savington, at email@example.com.
We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause you for the upcoming year. We hope that everyone understands the situation that we face and will take it in stride. As I mentioned previously, we only anticipate this affecting the 2015-2016 Volleyball & Basketball seasons.
Please also note, with the planning of the Community Center by the City of Papillion & the Steering Committee, this will potentially eliminate our concerns of school construction in the future as we will be able to hopefully hold all of our games at this facility once it is built.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Parent involvement and volunteer participation in PRO is not only appreciated, but vital to our success. The Fall sports seasons are underway and planning for the Winter season is right around the corner. There are several areas of PRO where there are opportunities available to not only donate your time, but also have a major voice in the decisions of our sport programs. These positions include serving on both the PRO Board as well as our various Sport Program Boards.
We would encourage everyone to thoughtfully consider getting more involved within the Sport Program Boards that run the activities for your children. If the thought of a position on one of the Sport Boards or the PRO Board has some interest, we would encourage you to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
